Akademiska Hus South leases premises to the University in Lund. The Developer wanted to establish Sweden’s lar-gest solar PV at the time. Gaia Solar contributed throughout the process from idea conception, projections as well as installation with best practice solutions. The plant consists of four systems, each of which is unique: A large en-ergy producing plant on the roof. Two plants on the façade designed to have a high signal value as well as a sun-shade system. The roof plant is made in Gaia Solar’s roof integration profile “Sol Sort” and could just as easily have been the exterior climate screen. The façade solution has solar panels as features on respectively the roof and three end gables, whilst the sun screening consists of semi transparent solar panels. The four systems and thus the plant as a whole, perform as an almost textbook example of the possibilities that solar panels provide. Energy production, signal values and double functions. In its time (November 2007), this was the biggest solar plant in Scandinavia.
