Folehaven in Valby.
Gaia Solar’s finest mounting system,”Colibri”, has been used here in combination with a cedar tree finish. The plant comprises multiple layers starting with a Rockwool in-sulation system – that as a test – has been used as vertical insulation. The rail-mounted insulation can be applied as a substrate for suspension for the solar wall construction. The rail system is attached to the gable with stainless steel glue-in anchors. Glue-in anchors for fastening the exte-rior hanging solar cells/solar heating wall construction is anchored with glue-in anchors by the Pro-Rock system and into the masonry. The solar wall is built with an air filter bound by hole plate cassettes and a solar cell bearing part supplying power. A cloth to prevent the transport of fibres within the ventilated air protects the insulation layer. Poly-crystalline cells were chosen. On the roof of the construction eight solar cell panels are used which are con-nected to four small inverters. Visually, each solar panel appears to float in isolation and it is a beautiful example of how solar cell panels can lift a facade out of the ordinary whilst simultaneously producing energy.
