Hammerby Sjöstad in Lysande.
A series of solar plants were built in connection with the construction of a new district in Stockholm, Hammerby Sjö-stad. Funding came partly through the EU and partly from the Swedish State. Power supply for the whole district – which lies just south of the city centre – will come from local sources. One way of doing this is for part of the buil-ding’s energy consumption to come from solar energy. There are four plants in the system: 3 roof plant East, South and West – as well as a plant located on the facade. The roof plants are each 4,5kWp. The facade installation works as both a solar shield as well as a facade decoration.
