Akademiska Hus – East rents rooms out to the University of Linkøbing in Sweden. A complete renovation of the Uni-versity included the installation of a solar panel plant on the roof. Building A, which houses engineering and econo-mics students, has a number of skylights that are south facing. With a slope of 30 degrees toward the South, it is a perfect location for the placement of solar panels. The majority of the installation is not integrated but rather placed on the roofing felt of the skylights. The second part of the installation functions as a sun shield on one of the south-facing sections of the skylights. The solar panels are tailor made to the existing framework of the skylights.
