A classic example of Gaia Solar’s core competencies. In connection with the renovation of a roof property, the de-veloper chose Gaia Solar to produce the first fully integrated roof plant with poly-crystalline cells. Costs were re-duced for the roof/solar panel plant by letting the southern roof facing comprise solar cell panels rather than tradi-tional roof facing, thus eliminating the need for traditional roofing materials. Gaia Solar tailored a solution where our SolSort roofing system comprises the roofing on the property, subsequently dubbed “The Blue House” in Randers. All the solar panels are tailor made and the solution is unique in many ways. Firstly, the solar panels all follow the same line as the Velux windows, and there are specially produced panels around the windows. At the same time, the vertical and horizontal windows from the roof windows are also coordinated with the separation points betwe-en the solar panels. This altogether unique and aesthetic solution is a textbook example of optimal architectonic use of solar cell panels.
